Vacation time part 2

saturday, april 30

So this is the second post of pictures. I might not be posting again while I'm in Florida, so enjoy.

Just some fancy car at a stop light that caught my eye.
Today we drove to somewhere and walked over the Indian River Lagoon.
Oh, yes it was on a bridge. The bridge was the A. Max Brewer memorial bridge.

On the bridge we found this lock and chain.
We came up with a really good idea of how it got there.
However, I can't remember it now, so.... on to the next picture.
(Front on upper picture and back on the lower picture.)
Pictures of the lagoon.

We saw a few dolphins, swimming out there,
but since the water looks like this, it was really hard to see them.
After walking over the lagoon and back,
we rested beside this fountain for a little while.
Random palm trees.
The fountain.
We think this is a blue heron.

Oh, and the little pond in the picture below,
apparently you can't swim in it because of alligators.
Just in case anyone forgot, our vacation is in America.
Beside the fountain, there were these strange rocks.
I'm not sure what they were supposed to be,
but Christianna and Lydia went to investigate them.

Lydia found a relaxing seat.
Christianna on one side and Lydia on the other.
Mom thought it was a good opportunity for pictures.
Those three decided to just relax on a bench
and stare at the fountain and listening to
Dad do Donald Trump impressions.
Oh, and Lydia found one rock that she called a recliner.
Parting look at the pond.

Ok, so if you were expecting something exciting, sorry. You'd have to be there for it to be exciting. That or I'd have to have a better imagination and skill at taking pictures. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these few pictures and glimpse into our vacation in Florida.

Vacation time part 1

saturday, april 30

Ok, so on my last post I promised to show some pictures from my vacation. Here are a few from our trip down to Florida.
Tasha waiting for us to leave the house.
 Just some scenery.
 Delicious bean dip.
 Driving through somewhere.
 Fig-bars.
The next two pictures are hard to see, but it is the capital house.

 Self explanatory from here on.

I will be posting more pictures of Florida next time.

And Away....

friday, april 29

   Good Morning, Florida!
Yes, finally I have decided to do another post. And I even have something to post about. Anyway, so at the beginning of this year, we were planning on taking a trip down to Florida. However, we decided to postpone it as February seemed just a little too early. So we were then preparing to go in March, until we found out that our 18 year old van was not feeling up to the task or any other task for that matter. For several weeks we were looking to a new van, making new plans, and everything that involves. After we finally found a van, we had decided to postpone our trip til April. Thankfully, nothing else came up and we were able to go on our trip.
I was so excited to go to Florida, since I love road-trips. Well, I was also happy to be seeing my grandparents again. On Wednesday evening, around five, we left the house, picked up Dad and Moriah at the office, and began our long tiresome drive down to Florida.
Oh, you know I mentioned that our van was old and we got a new one? Well, the old one was a white fifteen-passenger van and the new one is a white twelve-passenger van. With the old one, Christianna and Lydia had the first seat, Moriah and Deborah had the second, and I had the last seat all to myself. However, this new van is so different. Christianna, Lydia, and I have the first seat and Moriah and Deborah have the second seat with Tasha. It's a little crowded and hard to sleep, especially when you are used to the old van, but it was still just as exciting as I had anticipated.
We drove through the night and most of yesterday. Oh, in the night, around maybe two in the morning, Dad missed a turn and we ended up touring Washington, DC. I got to see the capital building, Washington's monument, the White House, the Treasury, Smithsonian Institute, Thomas Jefferson's Memorial, and even the Pentagon! We have gone through DC before, but I never really saw any of these places, since I was probably asleep. So, considering all of that, I'm glad that it was a good thing that Dad missed that turn.
We arrived in Titusville yesterday afternoon and were so happy to just come and relax. Well, that is until Uncle Jimmy and his kids came over. Tasha has been so excited ever since we were packing the van back in New Hampshire, and now having excited kids around her.... Everyone commented on how she looked so shaggy and how she will look when Aunt TJ grooms her. We talked for so long, it was like 12:40 am before they went home. I was so tired, after the whole trip down and not enough sleep, that I went to sleep immediately.
I don't know how the rest of our vacation will be, but hopefully I will have some pictures to share.
