On Tuesday, October 20, Joel Wilhite turned 10 years old. Mom and Mrs. Wilhite went out shopping and picked up an ice cream cake for his birthday.

Joel is a great fan of football. So while Mom and Mrs. Wilhite were out, they picked up these little candle holders. They are the brown footballs on the cake.
That night, Mr. Wilhite, Mrs. Wilhite, Malichi, and Lydia played music in the living room. Mr. Wilhite on his hammer dulcimer, Mrs. Wilhite on her penny whistle, Lydia on our piano, and Malachi singing along.

While they made music, Josiah and Nathanael talked with Dad. Moriah and myself listened and watched from the top of the stairs and Mom played with the dog.

After the music, Joel asked to play Monopoly and his parents agreed to. So at 11:00 PM., Mr. and Mrs. Wilhite, Nathanael, Joel, Lydia, and myself sat down in the kitchen and began to play one of the scariest games we have.

Later on, Mrs. Wilhite grew tired and gave her place up to Malachi. However, when Lydia and Malachi both retired an hour late, there was no one to take their places. It was about 2:30 AM when I  followed their examples and lost the game. I have no idea who won in the end, but from how I left it, I would say probably Joel. Oh, and he got all my money and properties. What a sad fate!
