July 6, Monday.
Starting the morning off with Emma!
On our way to the storage unit, we stopped at a little playground that is nearby the Galla's house.
Chris was dropping off the keys to the Penske truck, since we were done using it. He told us that we didn't have to follow him, but the drive would be really pretty. And he was right.
Entering the Black Forest.
Black Forest!
Just kidding, this is part of the Black Forest.
And this.
And this.
And this. You see, people used the burned trees to help rebuild.
Beautiful scenery.
The road just stretches so far away in front of you. It's amazing.
Beautiful sky and land with a faint outline of the mountains in between.
I don't know if, just be looking at the picture, you will be able to tell what it is. Therefore, I will explain. These are sinkholes!
Got that? Ok, moving on.
Not sure what this is, but it looks nice doesn't it. And I think that by this point, we have left the storage unit and are on our way to the Garden of the Gods.
Looking down at the city with the mountains in the background.
There's that old mine again.
And if you've been looking at my blog for any length of time, you will have realized that I enjoy taking pictures of the sky.
Chris needed to stretch a little, and this is the view we got.
Mountains again.
While we were driving, I noticed this strange wall, or side of the road. I don't know why they made it like that, but it's the first time I've seen it.
Whenever we got t a good view of the mountains, Mom would want us to take pictures. Some of them came out pretty good, while others, like the one below, make it look like the mountains are sitting on top of the bridge.
I never realized that the Navigators were in Colorado Springs. I should have guessed it, though. I mean, it seems like all of the Christian organizations either come from Texas or Colorado.
Our first glimpses of the Garden of the Gods.
A few suggestions have been offered about this blog and I decided to try one of them. Therefore, I am going to end this post sooner than I had at first planned on doing. So, if you want to see more, feel free to come back and look, or even better, you could comment!
