Last look of Kansas: rain!
Taking a few pictures in the rain at the Colorado sign.
On the other side of the road.
And suddenly, no rain! But all along the horizon, there are windmills. We even saw a few in the process of being erected.
The beautiful non-rainy Colorado sky.
The Colorado welcome center.
Another one of the shacks Mom loves to take pictures of.
Fields of what may be wheat.
Landscape changing.
And more giant windmills.
And this one, not so giant.
The road stretches far away.
It was really interesting to see the road appear over the hills in front of us.
The beautiful blue sky.
You can see a mirage on the road.
We started seeing these golden flowers on the hills and soon everywhere.
This is something unexpected. Llamas in a field right next to cattle.
Approaching the more mountainous country.
The clouds.
First glimpse of the mountains.
Pikes Peak.
The peak of the mountain still has snow on it.
I have no idea what this building is. It looked strange, therefore I took a picture of it.
When we were passing these two horses in a field of these golden flowers, Rebecca told me to take a picture of it. However, none of the pictures came out very good. But something interesting did happen. Here there are two.
Then there is one. While we were driving past, it caused the brown horse to be hidden behind the grey one.
Right after we passed that field of flowers, there was another. And it had another horse in it.
Colorado Springs from a distance.
Pikes Peak on our way to our destination: the Danley's house.
We passed this on the corner of a street. It looked different and interesting.
The house number of the Danley's house.
Next to the Danley's house, this is was we saw.
All four of the children warmed up to the Danley's pretty quickly.
Mrs. Danley and I took Abigail and Stephen to a playground at a nearby elementary school.
There were two playgrounds at the school. This was the first one for the kindergarten children.
We saw several rabbits on our way to and from the school.
This is the second playground for the older children.
And more rabbits.
That evening, Chris, Rebecca, and Mom went to view the Galla's new house, leaving myself, Mr., + Mrs. Danley with the children. When they came back, the children and the Danleys had mysteriously disappeared.
